Fight of the Century - Dave "Hurricane" Hoerl

On June 24th, 2014 Canadian blues luminary and founding member of the popular jump-blues band The Twisters, Dave “Hurricane” Hoerl, released his first solo recording, Un-Twisted. Shortly before the official release of Un-Twisted, Dave "Hurricane" Hoerl suffered a massive stroke that left him hospitalized and fighting for his life. As with many victims of stroke, the future for Hoerl is uncertain. He is currently under great care in hospital and will soon be moved to a long-term care facility.

Dave "Hurricane" Hoerl is a stalwart supporter of the blues music community who has helped put Canadian blues music on the map. The blues community in Canada is once again coming together to help out a friend in need.
A benefit concert is being planned for September 14th in Vancouver at Pat's Pub (details TBA) and a PayPal account has been set up where donations are being accepted to help cover the cost of Hoerl's care.
